Power Distribution SCADA System

Establishment of a core SCADA system and an Advanced Metering Infrastructure AMI/AMR Project. It includes the integration of some existing fault indicators, reclosures, sectionalizers, and manual breakers. The AMI/AMR covers one type of meter, equipped with GSM/GPRS modem . The software engineering part of the system is an integrated system that includes a head-end communication server, a main SCADA server application, and dual screen operator interface.

 

Protective Device SCADA

Designing and developing a “Protective Device SCADA” to monitor and control protective devices. Protective devices include; sectionalizers, auto-reclosers, circuit breakers, and fault Indicators, and are installed on medium voltage lines. The system covers buried cables and overhead lines, and some 140 IEDs in its concession area, and grows to about 2000 IEDs in the next five years. The IEDs includes devices from Schneider Electric ( C200, G200 and T200 ), and NOJA RC10 Auto-Reloser. System supports all power protocols; Modbus, DNP 3, IEC 60870, IEC 61850 The system is developed using the Graphical System Design for the Operator Station and the Engineering Station. Datalogging and Supervisory Control system with Citadel Database is used to develop both the SCADA main and the Database application

 

Sequence of Events Recorder

The SEvntRec is a software system specially designed for the National Instruments cRIO platform. It is designed for continuous monitoring of events, and logging of sequences with high time resolution. SEvntRec utilizes a real-time system with real-time database that spans the platform; from the real-time controller to the historical Event database on the main server. While a GPS module is not required for operation, it is highly recommended to utilize the GPS clock for synchronization and FPGA time stamp.

 

Industrial Data Logger

The DataLog is a software system specially designed for the National Instruments cRIO & PXI Real-time platform. It is design for long term monitoring and recording of industrial sensor data, alarms and events. Datalog utilizes a real-time system with real-time database that spans the platform; from the real-time controller to the historical database on the main server.

A bench-mount trainer for teaching Process Control through level, flow, temperature, and pressure. The PT001 trainer includes all the required sensors and actuators to perform the full experiment list for teaching process control. Using PT001, the student will acquire better understanding and hands-on experience in process control.

The Wind and Solar Power Trainer is designed to teach students the characteristics of solar panels and wind power generators. Using this trainer, students will be able to monitor data such as the output current, voltage and power from solar panels and wind mills, in addition they will be able to measure temperature, wind speed, battery voltage, load current, etc....
